Site for DOD clearance

I have a question for anyone who wishes to answer. Where can I go for information concerning a DOD clearance? I just did my fingerprints today and it was suggested to me that once I get my Hazmat endorsement that I should apply for the DOD clearance also. Any comments and suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

The clearance is dependent on your carrier. If your carrier hauls the freight they will tell you what to do.

I am currently hauling for my self. If and when I decide to lease on with someone, I will have everything that I will need.
