Sirius vs XM

Which is the better Radio for truckers? I like Nascar,but was unable to find the race on Sirius. Did I Buy the wrong Radio?...Butch

Nascar is on XM ch144 and 145,but is moving to Sirius in 2007.

some of our trucks have XM and some have Sirius. The guys that have XM love it, the ones that have sirius love it........

I prefer sirius because they seam to play more of the country music mix I like but thats just my opinion.

Have had both, prefer the Sirius programs, Especially now that they have "Radio Margaritaville".
A buddy of mine switched to Sirius because of the sports coverage mainly colledge basketball,

A question. lately my reception has been less than ideal, have an external antenna mounted to the body above the visor on my Century but it is loosing signal,rain or shine seems to make no difference.

Do these things wear out?. all connections look good, and I did pay the bill!

I think the sports offerings determine which is better. Pick the sports you like to listen to and select based upon that. I like the NFL so I went with Sirius.

I would check the cable routing.A frawed cable will give these poblems. If you have access to a second antenna,give it a try.

If it's the little button antenna that comes in the radio package those seem to only be good for a year at most before they die. I don't know why they do that but when I got a new radio for extra memories etc. at about 1 year I installed the antenna to the old radio while the new one acquired signals etc. and the old one came in much better. I've heard others talk about the annual antenna purchase too. I'd look at that first. Good luck.
