I have a 2002 16 ft. cube (box) truck. I would have to put a 4 ft. sleeper in so that would be 12 ft. cargo space. I have no knowledge of the expediting buis. Does anyone think I could find work out there?
I would be willing to run for two weeks at a time. I live close to I75 south of Dayton Oh. perfect driving record. should I work for someone else or could I find loads on my own? Iv been reading old posts and it seems that this is a marginal buiness to be in. So what do you think, worth persuing? or should I go do something else?
Thanks for your imput, I need the help.

Your timing is near perfect. You should be able to get all the answers you need at the Expedite Expo this coming Friday and Saturday at the Roberts Convention Center, Exit 50, I-71, Wilmington Ohio. Bring your truck along and talk to several of the expedite carriers' recruiters, expedite owner/operators and drivers in this business.

Check D.O.T. specs on sleepers before going to that expense . You must be able to access the driving area from the sleeper and meet a lot of other requirements ( vents , restraints , etc. ) for it to be D.O.T. legal .

What is the gvwr of your cube truck. If it is less than 10,001# you can have whatever kind of sleeper you want or none at all as you will not be regulated. I just carry a queen size air mattress that I strap to the ceiling just behind the pass-thru door when not in use. I don't go out and stay out so I mainly use it for quick naps after delivering freight.
