Not what I saw in Scotland. There they would drink the scotch, break out, and go look for more scotch. There has never been enough scotch made in the history of mankind to keep a Scotsmen happy!!!
My grandmother came from just outside Aberdeen Scotland...from the Chalmers Clan which was a sub serviant clan to the Stewart Clan...
I used to salmon fish near Aberdeen. Great people up that way.

My wife plays a little, but, the best player I ever saw was a woman. My Cards only partner in college. We played for lunch money and never starved!!! He play was fast, I had trouble keeping up. I don't remember her name any more. Old age.

Double deck "Bid" eucher....6 at the table, 6 minimum to open...most good players will bid6-8 without picking up their hand,,,and be fast as Layout said....me, i am just an avg player lose as much as i win....
Maybe someday we can play, Dennis. No fancy stuff, single deck traditional game. I love that game!!

Falling down drunk drunking fights you must have a family that doesnt know how to control their drinking. I will have a few beers with my sons my youngest son being 24 my grand children will be there what will they see ? They will see Adults enjoying an Adult drink without getting sloppy drunk you make it sound like it isnt possible to have a drink without getting drunk. And if that is the way your family and friends drink that is your problem but to say that the rest of us can't or shouldn't because your family cant control themselves is foolish.
