Interesting post about that long trip to Newfoundland.
How about posting what was your shortest run. We once took a bus tire from a bus garage in NYC to another garage 1.5 blocks away.
Trip paid $400 and took a total of 7 minutes from arriving at the first stop to unloading at the second stop.

Also the lightest load was a O Ring that probalby weighed 2 ounces from La Garange GA to Decatur IL.

Once I got to take an 'E' run of computer software from Plainfield, IN to Louisville,ky. It paid about $1.50 for all miles. When i got there and unloaded, they asked if I would reload with other software and take it a block (inside the same industrial park)and off-load in another dock. That move paid the same money from IN to KY. I essentially doubled my revenue for moving 1 extra mile.

My shortest went from First Cdn Place to #2 First Cdn Place. I parked in the loading docks and dollied the load thru the parking lot underground. Paid $100.

Though I can´t remember the shortest load, I do remember the lightest load. It was a box the size of a shoebox going from Harrisburg, Pa. to Buffalo, N.Y. It was a computer circuit, that was ordinarily flown, but somehow didn´t get on the flight and had to be there the next day. It paid around $1.50 mi. if I remember, and I kept the box in the cab with me, so I didn´t have to tie it down haha!.

My shortest run, would have to be plural! RUNS.
On New Years Day, 2005. I made 5 runs for a total of 7.5 miles(1.5 miles each), from the Batavia transmission manufacturing facility, to a warehouse facility. Each run paid $110.00 for a total, of course, of $550.00. It, however, took me 12 hrs to do, thanks to the efficiency of the crew at Batavia. And for all of you comedians out there, who might ask, NO I did not push my truck!
