I used to deliver pizzas when I first got married, and people always ordered during storms LOL.. we'd tell them "gonna be about an hour for delivery, but you can pick it up in 15-20"... The answer was always "I'm not going out in this!" um.. yeah.. LOL..

These same people would barely open the door while you're getting drenched !

Taxi driving was the same. Customers expecting quick service when the police were ordering us off the road. Certain customers would only call during blizzards.

Speaking of weather... I use this paid app called hi-def weather on my iPhone. I use it daily and one of the great features is that it loads the image very quickly ( iPhone 5). ImageUploadedByEO Forums1371085983.728257.jpg

I think I was fortunate. I believe there were two large clusters of storm cells. On I-80 I think I shot right between them and them "turned right" to head into Chicago right behind the furthermost north cluster. It was wild and green! I hear the winds were crazy. I haven't seen damage up here. Sitting at consignee waiting on someone to come up with an AWB # so they will take this freight off me. I'd nap but the Lansing jet noise every few minutes is a drag.

I am in oak wood village,oh and it sounded like rocks bouncing off my truck. Wind blew a tree limb right off on my hood. Fortunately no damage though.

FREE weather App. for I-Phone that works great. real time radar.
"MyRadar"
{doa'h!}

I agree, MyRadar is great. There are upgrade options available from the app, too, that include hurricane warnings etc. I check it before every run to see what's happening where, and more than once it has helped me decide the best way to route.

Weather bug app is a good one as well, good severe weather updates and simple tools etc..
