Good "red ear" fishing on that lake, you need ice though. Much easier to catch through the ice than the soft water.

Fall is when Michigan is at it's very best!! My favorite time of the year there. That is when I miss being home the most.

Spring is my THIRD favorite season in Michigan. It is often long, damp and bone chilling. It is very wet and soggy. My order of preference is, from first to last, Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer. This is mostly based on the fact that I cannot STAND temps much above 70 degrees and that there is just so much more to do in the fall and winter. Spring has some great fishing but it is short lived. Summer just sucks.
