its amazing how corporate America makes the adjustments to make their margins....the world marches on....Imagine our grandparents said the same thing when Henry Ford Implemented the assembly line and many jobs were lost as well...

So where is the money going to come from?

You ask a fair question. When self-driving cars and trucks replace a few million truckers and taxi drivers, a social challenge will definitely exist. Our elected officials are already turning a blind eye to economic reality and they are deficit spending our government into oblivion. When the big crash comes, it won't be due to self-driving trucks. It will be due to decades of fiscal irresponsibility by government officials and (importantly) by individual citizens who could not live within their means either. Instead of demanding fiscal responsibility in government, they elected like-minded, free-spending people to office. Heck yes, I want that spending program for our community. Where will the money come from? Who cares? It's all good if I get my program.

People who accumulate money can react to social change by purchasing an education, new tools, relocating to good job markets, etc. People who squeeze big payments out of small paychecks to buy new mudders for their pickup truck find themselves stuck.

So where is the money going to come from?

What are we to do as technology continues to advance? Each leap forward as lowered the amount of middle class jobs. While yes, high tech jobs increase they don't do so at an equal number. Part time and low paying jobs are on the rise, but those don't contribute to the tax base, which is needed to keep up infrastructure. As that crumbles, more and new taxes shrink companies margins. Calling for the need for more new technology.

As spendable income continues to shrink, fewer good are needed. Shrinking margins for companies fuel the need for more technology.

As technology march forward, the number of those that can afford it continues to shrink.
So once again I ask, where the money going to come from?
