Any idea on the average cost of an accident that involves a truck carrying hazmat?

The Last year I was in the Business was 2009 and that year we did over 150 spills at an average cost of $7,000.00 per which included leaking drums to tractor trailer accidents...

The reality of the matter is that things are very slow right now for cargo vans and box trucks. Why sit in a parking lot for 1-2 weeks wasting your life away when you can get a real job and be properly compensated for your time and effort? It was an honor to work with you Hazmat. You are a stand up driver. I wish you the best of luck in your new venture!

That was a load that came out of Laredo of cardboard drums with a plastic liner (trash bag)containing frozen food packaging glue... The driver slammed on his brakes and the load shifted forward resulting in the majority of the cardboard drums leaking glue... Needless to say DOT had a major issue with the packaging and we had to overpack every drum on the truck...
