Guess you don't turn off the radio & listen to the CB, like me. The first time it happened to me, I was in the sleeper, sleeping with the curtains closed when a woman knocked on the door. She was so clearly surprised to see a woman appear in the truck window, that I thought it was funny. But like the panhandlers, there isn't anything funny about the invasion of privacy these lowlifes think nothing of committing. Now, I tell them that I will inform both management & the local gendarmes, if they do not leave the area immediately. Then I inform management, because they usually want to stop it, & will keep an eye out for the return of the scum. I don't inform the police, though, because if they did want to do something, (& I agree that many times it's not high on their list), it would only perpetuate the negative image of truckstops.
When you are forced to roll up your windows & hide, you need to do something to assert your rights, & management has an obligation to assist. If they don't agree - that's a place you don't go anymore.
It's true that it continues because some drivers welcome the "company", but at least they could make their 'dates' over the CB, & leave the rest of us alone. x(
