saw an unusual cube van today

PackMule,
I just think it is funny, there it is just sitting there all alone.

I got one too because of the disgusting bathroom I went into at a pilot with 'stuff' on the walls and no one cleaning it up. Because I have no 'standard' refridge in the truck and going to a drawer type soon, it fits perfectly where the fridge was.

By the way, I ran across another Landstar driver who had a similar truck, almost as nice as yours.

He had what I thought was a great idea, he had 2 or 3 inch angle iron running the length of the box with square tubing and e track welded to the angle iron. I am not really describing it right but it served three purposes, one to support the bed, to prevent cargo hitting the walls and to be able to secure the cargo at a low level.

I am wondering who made the box? is it a Surpreme?

sweet ride packmule. the bay bridge box looks great. got some questions for you:

is that a diesel?
is the truck raised?
where do you have the aux batteries?
did bb do the interior of the box?
is it insulated?
can you plug into shore power?
what is the curb weight on that?
what is the load capacity?
did you buy the whole package from bb?

I only posted the pictures, but I do recall some of the specs. I'm sure Mr. Mule will elaborate in the near future and correct me if I am wrong.

-gasser
-shore power connection
-2 Optima yellow top batteries mounted on the frame
-roof is insulated but not the walls

That is awesome!!! I really like the looks of that. What is your payload capacity after you installed all your extras???

Msinger,

Thanks for the compliment.
My payload is 2740 +/- a few pounds. I have carried 3120 with no problems. Van ran and handled great. But I like to stay 2500 or below to stay legal.(just in case)
The cabinet and all our personal things only added 147 Lbs to the Van weight. The 2 Optima batteries added 88 Lbs and when I carry my generator it adds another 98 Lbs. The biggest weight fluxuation is the fuel (gas) because I have a 36 gal. tank. A full tank is 320 Lbs. When I scaled to get my empty weight I did it with Full tanks but did not have the generator on the truck so I have to keep that in mind. So far I have not been carring the Generator but will start as the weather gets warmer.
