Sandwich dare

OK, next time you're in Flint, MI. I dare you to go up 75 to exit 136 and go west a block to Tony's for a BLT sandwich and an order of chili cheese fries. There's one of you out there who will finish it off and the rest will be getting a to go box. Oh, and if you do finish all of the BLT and c/c fries then order a banana split for desert and see how you do. :D

Leo, I would never ever eat at that place.

IT all sounds good until you realize how many violations they have had for a number of things like reusing food.

If you want a sandwich dare - how many Katz Deli sandwiches can you eat?

I think this needs to be moved to the diet forum:eek:

I've never been to it. I just saw it on a sandwich show and thought it looked good.

Unfortunately anything looks good on TV, but there is also Halo burger which is good too. No hype and it is good. There used to be another place up there but since it became a trap (outlet stores, etc...) everything is like "yeah so...?"

If you can ever make it to Katz, make it through standing in line for a meal ... opps ... I mean sandwich, it is worth it. 100% worth it. Just don't lose your ticket.

By the way, have the Pastrami, the Reuben is ok - which there is a better place to get one.

My Dad and his hunting buddy Sammy have been stopping at Tony's every year for over 50 years on their way up to deer camp. My Dad is going to be 88 in Oct. Sammy is 86. Ain't killed them yet!!

I don't see myself going to NY to go to Katz. Maybe to Atlanta for Gladys and Ron's or to Tony's but unless it's over $5 all miles I won't be near Katz.

I'm surprised the Food Police haven't shut Tony's down, crazy huge portions. I used to stop for an Italian sausage sandwich and a 1/2 order of fries when I was on a Walled lake to Rose City run. The 1/2 order of fries is a huge basket.

There's a Katz in Houston and Austin. In Houston Ziggy and Kennys beats Katz hands down.

That's just wrong. But just about any place, anymore, seems to have had some pretty horrible crap going on. McD's has been busted twice in the last week or two for maggots. How gross is that???

**edit: By wrong I meant gross, not inaccurate. :)
