While our veterans who served honorably are left to die waiting for treatment, the traitors in our military prisons aren't so bad off. For example, consider Pvt Chelsea Manning who is serving 35 years in a military prison. She expects to receive all the therapy, treatment, and possibly surgery she needs to treat her disorder for the duration of her incarceration, courtesy of the American taxpayer. Caution: if you're eating or drinking something you might want to take a break while reading the article. It's hard to believe the recruiting standards in our military have sunk to this level.

If there is any justice in this world at all, then there will be some who live to see the day where their tax dollars - extracted under duress and the threat of force by the corrupt State that they themselves worship - are used to rearrange 'Chelsea's' plumbing ...

Typical for the way things are. Provide for criminals, dead beats, and other assorted watchamacallits, and stick to those who EARNED something. Presidents and other elected scum get their wage, health care etc, FREE, for life. Bet you armpit sweat to vomit it won't be what the masses will get when we are forced into a "single pay" system.

Single pay is this government's way to reduce the population.

I like this idea, but there has got to be a safety built in to keep the greedy from taking advantage. I have seen some of the Goverment mentality in the corporate world, that is another reason why I left it.

Free enterprise and capitalism are their own protections. The answer to the problems of too much freedom is more freedom. When anyone can open their own burger joint, the wage slave flipping burgers at the rich man's burger joint can become rich, himself, by making better burgers. We just need to make sure those that like to regulate don't prevent him from doing so.

We are long past the point of freedom. The single greatest cause of the high cost of health care IS government regulation. There is no longer a free market, there has not been one for a very long time.

We have things like a government mandated wage, we call it the "minimum wage". The government, who has NO idea in the world what it costs to run a business, mandates the wage of the employees of someone who does.

Just wait, Obama's dream is a total, government controlled, health care system. He, the government, wants control over that much of your life, and the economy. The VA, is a fine example of what people will find once this takes place. Long waits, limited drug choices, limited treatment choices, outdated equipment. The list is endless.

Don't get me wrong, there are many good people who work in the VA system. They truly care for those that are in their care. Some to the things I have seen, where my father is concerned, is amazing. They go out of their way to be kind, thoughtful and helpful. The break downs occur at the top. Lack of funding, lack of leadership and little accountability.

I don't think you can blame Obama for the whole VA mess. It is true that it has had issues for decades. What he can be blamed for if proven is these "waiting lists" and other current corruptions. How long has that been going on? We don't know yet. So, it may be more than just him. Especially when looking at the hospital in AZ. If that has been going on for awhile, where was John McCain? Have to believe someone sent a letter of poor treatment at some point.
My biggest issue with Obama is he doesn't seem too bothered by it. Just another one in the scandal pot. He might have to treat this differently because several other democrats are giving him a hard time about it. Time will tell.

It does not matter how long it has been going on. Obama is the person in charge, NOW, and he is not doing his job. What is past, is past, what is now, is now.

Lest you forget, THIS administration looks at veterans as a THREAT, it would seem they are treating us as such. Easy way to get rid of those he does not like.

McCain was too busy trying to figure what country we needed to bomb or invade next, to be bothered with spending much time on anything so mundane or inconsequential as caring for the military veterans who have previously served their country.
