We have only seen the tip of the iceberg on this. It is a shame that the "media" is going to down play what is going on so they can protect their god.

I was not aware how bad this was till a guy from chuch told me about it. This is a call to all places of worship, no matter the faith, we need to help these Vets out.

The Benghazi scandal was bad enough, but the VA debacle is possibly worse. I puts on full display not only Obama's glaring incompetence, but also his total contempt for the military and all those who have served and made tremendous personal sacrifices for our country. He knew early on about the problems that existed in the VA, but chose to ignore them. Once again he's proven to be a liar that's not fit to be POTUS. If only the mainstream media had held him to the same standards of scrutiny they have for most other candidates during presidential campaigns. Maybe the American public will keep this and the other Obama scandals in mind when they go to the polls in Nov. Taking the Senate away from Democrat control will go a long way towards neutralizing the stranglehold Obama and his sleazy minions have on our legislative system.

...The problem became acute enough that Obama made it an issue early in his presidential campaign. In October 2007, as then-Sen. Obama began to rise to the top of the Democratic Party’s primary field, he told veterans that fixing the waitlist issue was a matter of honor. “When a veteran is denied health care, we are all dishonored,” Obama said. “When 400,000 veterans are stuck on a waiting list for claims, we need a new sense of urgency in this country.” He also promised more resources and better management to fix the problems seen at the VA. “As president, I won’t stand for hundreds of thousands of veterans waiting for benefits. We’ll hire additional claims workers.” …More than five years later, nothing has changed — except the spending. Defenders of the administration have suggested that the scandal is actually a resource issue, but that would be difficult to argue from the spending. Since that final Bush budget of FY2008, the VA budget has grown by 78 percent in six budget cycles, to $150.6 billion. With the single exception of the FY2012 budget sequester, when VA spending dropped 2.2 percent, the agency’s budget has increased by at least 8 percent every year of Shinseki’s tenure. Veterans had every right to expect that the increase in resources meant that the Obama administration intended to rectify the problems that kept them from accessing medical care.

...With the lives of America’s veterans on the line, Obama has to get the failed leadership team out of the way and bring in fresh eyes and better management to fix the problem rather than cover it up.

The VA has been a cluster____ for decades. Trying to blame it on one political party or one president is foolish. All have made promises, and all have failed miserably. Our local clinic is little more than an oxy distribution center.

Obama is where the buck stops now. The deaths, "secret waiting lists, have taken place on his watch. It has gone down hill faster in the last 30 months or so. Even Ann Arbor, which is one of the better VA hospitals in the system is having problems. I have been going there since 2000 and the problems we are seeing have just started in the past 18 months. Something has changed.

Blaming Obama for that reason is nothing more than treating the symptom rather than addressing the problem.

The problem will likely never be addressed by Obama, or anyone else for that matter. The fact remains, things are going down hill faster since he took office that at any time since I started with the VA in 1996. He has NO priority OTHER than sounding like he is on the campaign trail and making himself look good with what ever smoke and mirror method he can use. Results don't matter, only the illusion of results is important.

His administration will find ONE or TWO vets who have been having problems. Fix that ONE or TWO up and then parade them before the press as PROOF of how great the lord god Obama is.

He is one sick son of a bean picker.

This is where it is our duty as taxpayers and good citizens to rase holy he11 about this by flooding members of congress with letters.

Though it happened on Obama's wstch we need to focus on the issue, the Vets, so they cant twist it to be a ploy against Obama, which it isnt totally his fault.

This is an outrage and demands immefiate action, there is no time for lenghty invedtigations. Senior Officials that oversee theVa should br immediatly fired with out any supplimental benefites, this is one area we can demand of congress. We dont need any hearings, since the VA leadership is t blame. Plain and simple.

Congress does not care, or they would have never let it get into this shape. They will pretend to hold hearings, points some fingers, etc. Obama will make silly noises, wring his hands, puff some smoke onto a few mirrors, or maybe even blame a video someone made about hot dogs, and the press will do their best to make it go away.

This is where we say to congress, I will do everything in my power to get you oponent elected if you dont act now.

We could do like the extreme liberals do and have drivers with signes condemning the Va Leadership make 1 circle around the locsl VA hospital and drive around toen. With DC, do this but include congress, white house and convoy around the beltway.

Of course, we should support private organizations by donations and cartage, that are providing assistance.

The REAL problem is that the people who OWN the government of the United States, like the "Koch Brothers", Warren Buffet, George Soros etc, don't care. THEY can't make any money off of the VA and so they, the OWNERS, don't tell their slimy little puppets what to do to fix it. The Congress, and president, don't have enough brain power between them all to change a burned out light bulb let alone fix a REAL problem.

People with money can still go broke if people dont buy from them...many know this and would poop a brick if their popularity comes into question. This is not a Liberal/Republican issue since many vets affected are from all political viewpoints.

Treating our Vets like this is UNACCEPTIBLE and the people in charge must be forced to face the music of their mismanagement.

Or....Obamacare. The VA is just another long list of scandals from Obama. The only difference with this one is democrats aren't too happy with Obama's disengagement. But of course, they will all get bonuses to investigate themselves.
