Russia Invades Ukraine

Try to deescalate the situation and talk about a peaceful settlement, instead of threats and sanctions and having the mindset that there MUST be a regime change.

Pooty has been given numerous opportunities to take an off-ramp ... just in case you missed it: he's still declining.

Biden’s team is putting our country at an unnecessary risk due to a conflict on the other side of the world.

Wrong analysis, wrong causation, and wrong target ... as usual.

This is not our fight.

It's our fight - Uncle Pooty has declared it to be so.

Take him at his word.

BS. The U.S. is keeping Zelensky from negotiating with Russia.

The Left used to be against foreign wars. Now they apparently are all in.
Bunch of phony frauds. MAGA is against getting entangled in foreign conflicts. My, my, how some have changed.

Well, it kinda is our fight. The US signed an agreement to give Ukraine defensive aid and support if they would give up their nuclear weapons and heavy bombers. It does not include troops on their soil. (see Budapest Memorandum).

At this point Putin won't agree to anything but unconditional surrender because he has the advantage in the air. We need to give Ukraine better air defense systems and let Poland transfer the Migs. Once Russia loses the ability to bomb everything at will, the game changes since Ukraine is effectively wining the ground battles. This gives Ukraine a strong position from which to negotiate an end to the conflict.

The last thing we want is a regime change in Ukraine. Zelensky can be a US ally. We don't want him replaced with a Putin puppet.

I’m talking about a U.S demand of a Russian regime change.

The U.S reneged on their No NATO expansion in Eastern Europe pledge.
So broken agreements on both sides.

Also, their argument is that parts of Ukraine want to break away and become independent or become part of Russia Federation.

The only chance of a Russian regime change comes if Putin loses the war with Ukraine or ends in a stalemate. That would happen if Ukraine is able to neutralize Russian air superiority.

Some are saying that even if he wins there will be sanctions until there is a regime change. That means we will also have sanctions on us for the duration of that.

We could adapt to sanctions from Russia. They might actually force us to produce more of our own oil, natural gas, etc. On the other hand, we and NATO could starve the Russians.

The Left used to be against foreign wars. Now they apparently are all in.

Oh I dunno ... you certainly don't seem to have a problem coming up with voices on the Left against foreign wars.

Bunch of phony frauds.

That's a road supporters of The Orange Pus Sack would be best not to go down.

MAGA is against getting entangled in foreign conflicts.

So what ... you're now the official spokeshole for all of "MAGA" ?

:tearsofjoy:

My, my, how some have changed.

Being against foreign meddling generally, does not necessarily mean one is against all foreign military engagements.

There are times when it is in our own self-interest.

Rigid adherence to ideology - just for its own sake - can prevent action where it is justified and warranted.

This is one such time.

That said, the degree of involvement that should be undertaken is debatable and reasonable people can differ.
