I don't know that it was so much a case of believing Q lies, as much as it was a strategic calculation to allow things in the US to stew and fester further, hoping that the US would become more divided to the point that we couldn't mount an effective response.

The one thing that he didn't probably count on was the US being able to rally so many allies ... and that the response to his aggression would be so unified.

I'm sure that Putin was quite happy to have the support and propaganda services of Tucker, Ingraham, and many others though.

No doubt it's hard for the Trump haters and loony liberals to understand the concept of tactics, but Trump was talking about Putin's ability to completely outmaneuver Biden in the Ukraine mess. A bad choice of words at a bad time, yes; Trump has a bad habit of getting in his own way, and this is one of the reasons he won't be the GOP nominee in 2024.

But was he a Putin puppet? No. Did he purposely maintain a working relationship with Putin? Yes, otherwise Putin would have drifted toward a closer alliance with China, which seems to be happening now thanks to the weakness of Biden.

The fact remains that there were no Putin aggressions of this nature during the Trump presidency.

The US didn't foresee this coming then ?

Fact: The US under Biden has been preemptively declassifying intel and releasing it as a counter to Putin's pretextual lies for several months.

The US hasn't supplied lethal weaponry to Ukraine ... with no restrictions that it has to be kept in Kyiv, like the Trump required ?

Maybe you should check with Little Marco R on that one ?

Putin has the backing of most civilized nations and isn't facing worldwide condemnation ... is that what you are saying ?

Russia is currently enjoying full access to worldwide financial markets and Russian nationals are free to travel anywhere in the world on Russian airlines ?

I'm pretty sure Vlad was not happy to see China abstain from yesterday's vote in the UNSC.

Probably not real happy either to see that he got exactly ZERO VOTES of support from anyone.

Trump "armed" Ukraine ... with weapons they weren't allowed to forward-deploy and use.

But he also attempted to extort Ukraine's President - for his own personal gain - over such support ... using that "very perfect" phone call.

The one that got him impeached ... remember ?

Germany - against their own interests - has now cancelled Nord Stream 2 ... no doubt at the Biden Administration's urging.

They're also sending 1,000 anti-tank weapons and 500 Stinger missiles to Ukraine.

And have finally relented on banning Russia from SWIFT.

NATO - that thing that Trump repeatedly sought to denigrate and inveigh against by speaking publicly against our Allies, thereby sowing discord - has made it very clear to Putin that any attack on member nations will be considered as an attack against all ... probably thanks to the Biden Administration support.

The Biden Administration has or will deploy 10,000 US troops to NATO member nations.

The Orange Guy would probably be diddling around examining his navel - which is truly GLORIOUS !!! I am told ... and waiting on their prepayment check to clear. Assuming he wasn't also trying to extort them for something for his own personal gain.

Thank God that we actually have an actual adult as POTUS at this point ... rather than the Orange Manchild ... who's Daddy didn't love him enough ...

For any here that apparently "like" Russians and their President Putin more than they like their own fellow countrymen, Russia has apparently deployed Chechen "headhunters" to Ukraine ... who are known for being particularly brutal.

Keep just keep that professed support - and how utterly stupid it will look - in mind ... as any future bloodbaths and war crimes unfold.
