Rush Is With Rahm on Lefty 'Retards'

I know, I know nobody here listens to Rush but just in case you missed his show today, I'm waiting to see if Palin will now call for Rush's resignation. Enjoy.

In a rare move today, conservative megaphone Rush Limbaugh agreed with Rahm Emanuel on something—though the confluence might not please Sarah Palin. The former vice-presidential nominee wants the White House chief of staff fired for using “retarded” in derogatory fashion, but Limbaugh said on his radio show today that he agrees with Emanuel’s characterization of the liberal fringe.

“Our political correct society is acting like some giant insult’s taken place by calling a bunch of people who are retards, retards. I mean these people, these liberal activists are kooks. They are looney tunes. And I’m not going to apologize for it. I’m just quoting Emanuel,” Limbaugh said of his anti-PC soulmate, who has apologized and will host some from the offended community by way of apology. “So now there’s going to be a meeting. There’s going to be a retard summit at the White House.”

And again, he was taken very much out of context. Rush was parodying Rahm Emmanuel by employing the same phrase, much as he once parodied a couple prominent black journalists by referring to Obama (in the exact same words they used) as a "magic negro". Anyone listening to the whole segment would've understood this clearly.

In which I did. Look, this is hypocrisy at its finest, if Palin doesn't ask for an apology from Rush her credibility(what's left of it) is shot. Rush calls liberals retards and then goes on to compare them to "kooks", "looney tunes" and then says this,
“So now there’s going to be a meeting. There’s going to be a retard summit at the White House.” He complains about political correctness on every show and here you have Sarah Palin whom Rush gushes over when speaking about her, wanting an apology from Rahm about his comment.

So essentially Rush should be ****ed about Sarah and her political correctness and Palin should be on her facebook page demanding an apology from Rush. This should be good!

Such a big deal over using the word retarded which is a fully legitimate word and not one objection to the real issue, that rubbish Rahm said F-ing retard not retard.

Emanuel was calling the liberals "Retards" and Rush agrees with Emanuel that the liberal fringe are "Retards", liberal activists are "Kooks". They are "Looney Tunes". Those were Rush's words not Emanuels. How is that cherry picking?

Did anyone actually read the WSJ article anyway? Emanuels comments were towards the Democrats not a group of mentally challenged people. I never knew that Palin was so PC, I'm surprised Rush didn't go after her for being so thin skinned. Oh wait, he wouldn't dare hurt her reputation as she is doing a fine job of that on her own.

So you're taking issue with him for saying the "F"word?

NO, I take issue with everything about his thoughts and policies. He is as bad as Obama is, and that is really bad!!! Just another leftist pig.

Yes, moreso than I am with him saying retard. Between the two it is the more offensive to anyone not liberally/PC defective.

The issue that many may not get is that the democrats have for the longest time put more credence into words than they do anything else. Most of the people don't really care but the thin skinned idiots of the world seem to fall into the trap that words are holding them back - if those people can't stop saying FILL IN THE BLANK, it is too offending for anyone to deal with and we have to do something about it. Most of it as you know is hypocritical and the dems seem to be the ones who take it to the extremes.

One is a entertainer and one holds public office. Too much time is wasted on this kind of stuff. Way too many things to focus on in government and this isn't one of them.
It is just about up there with "don't ask don't tell".

Sounds like just another case of someone looking for a reason to be offended...or maybe not. It just might be that Sarah Palin is using the Democrats' own methods to attack them. They did it for eight years to the GOP and Bush, jumping on them for anything that might be loosely interpreted as "offensive" and their willing accomplices in the mainstream media were more than glad to aid and abet their cause. Anyone remember the degree of outrage when Al Gore made his "missing chromosome" remark?

Rahm Emanuel is an outspoken, profane little creep who makes an easy target for these types of attacks. No doubt that the GOP could have a weekly Rahm outrage if they wanted to go through all his quotes for the past 18 months. Since the Dems started this technique, it's only fair that they live with it being used against them.

On the other hand, it's a testament to our PC obsessed media that they're making such a big deal out of this relatively minor issue. "Retarded" is a perfectly legitimate adjective that's been part of the King's English for many years; regardless of what Barbara Walters or Sarah Palin might say, it should in no way be compared to the "N" word which has always been intended as slang or a racial slur.

Before long the cancer of political correctness will have us to the point where no one is ugly, fat, short, skinny, pigeon-toed, bowlegged, knock-kneed or even old. We'll all just be "challenged" or "special" in some fashon - as if that's not already the case.

You are absolutely right I couldn't agree with you more and that someone is Palin.

Pilgrim, it was not the "PC obsessed media" that made a big deal about this it was Palin who posted it on her facebook page for all to see then Rush spending an hour on his radio show.

So in essence you agree with me, the PC crap is ridiculous(in the past and the present) and Palin needs to stop using her children as props and to stay off of facebook for Gods sakes woman!
