Can't call you a liar, but just don't believe it...you are not running enough loads, 2.2 per week average or enough miles, 2200 +/- per week. Additionally you speak nothing of expenses. If what you say is actually true by all means share your secret to success for those of us slowly going broke.

Oh if you need to know, okay, to help solve some of your dilemma, we took the 1st and 2nd week of Jan. off, 1 week at Easter, 1 week at Mothers Day and 3 weeks at the 4th of july.
THAT should PUMP UP my anemic looking run per week stat you calculated all by yourself.
We normally take off 10 to 12 weeks a year.
All of which means squat towards the numbers I posted other than for every week we did take off we could probably earn another 6500 to 7500 gross.
WOW, Hunney, no more RNR for you, theres another 70K out there for us.

Might it be more informative, more pursusavive and less combatative to simply have your numbers verified in a fashion that would be acceptable to most reasonable members?

Maybe pick a trusted member of EO, give him or her your Extranet login and password (you can change it immediately after), allow the member to view your online settlements and state to the forum what he or she observes.

In a more adult arena, and if it was all important to me, I might do something like. But, when those with all the answers blow smoke at me, call me liar and question my character, no, if they have any backbone and they are willing to put $1000 where there mouth is, I will certainly be glad to take it.
Otherwise, what I post is what they get for free.
Now on the other side of the coin, you know who I drive for, ask him if I am telling it like it is.

With your steady increased miles, it's almost like your becoming ccloser to an LTL type truck as opposed to a an expeditor.

How much down time do you guys have?

Do you think this could be a trend in the industry? Or are most other carriers too small to have this type of operation?

Are you afriad that as more people switch to flat rate, your miles will drop? Either way, good to see some people ahead of the curve and gain from it.

We usually get one day a week to reset our clocks and restock the truck, do laundry, etc.
We have been stuck in California for the first time since we started.:( Delivered on Thursday, did a short run on Monday, had a dry run on Wednesday and we have a run picking up on Friday.
They can't dispatch us on a load that is not there.
I don't think this is a trend and I don't think there are a lot of people switching to the flat rate. Driving as many miles as we do to make the money we need to make is exhausting. There are some things we like about the flat rate and some things we don't. Overall, we really liked the flat rate program until we got stuck in California. Now we will be reluctant once again to take the western states runs. That will probably cause a decrease in our miles. Time will tell.

I don't care anything about the money. I just happen to have worn purple scivies since my adolesence and simply wanted a color coordianted outfit....

I've only been in this truck for a year now, so don't have numbers to compare how i'm doing. Bit, the owner says money, loads, and miles are down, compared to previous time period, when he had a diff driver. Yet i stay out longer, and have taken less time off.

One interesting aside, i met a driver in a flat rate truck. He took a load i had declined. It came across at .92 per mile. Yet, he said he got it for 1.00 pm, automatically. This sound right?

Question is...Would you have run it it for a $1.00?

It isnt bad luck you have had these past few years its terrible luck.
Two major incidents destroying the reefer box would have put lesser teams out of biz.
Hang in there.:)
If enough leave, it'll be just you and me in TVAL.:D

We are pretty tough. We just keep plugging along. Thanks for the encouragement.

Well yeah it does, he's flat rate. If you won't take it for ultra cheap, they will offer it to him for very cheap.:rolleyes:
