I think its running on 7 cylinders for first 15 mins after start up,then it runs fine.If you run it on the highway for a couple of hours and then stop to idle there's a miss also. After it idles for 5-10 mins it rights it self.I am thinking bad injector, going into ford after holidays been running this way about a month,i am due for fuel filter and egr cleaning. What are some other things it could be?

Hi

Check glow plug wiring harness. It sounds like one cylinder isn't preheating, then once it get up to temp it is firing normally. This setup wasn't one of Ford's better ideas. Also check for oil on bell housing (bad o-rings)Injectors are actuated by oil pressure and are prone to blown o-rings.The oil will run into the valley but with the cover and all the clutter you will not be able to see it until it comes out the back of the cover onto the bell housing.Sometimes these problems put a trouble code into the system and sometimes they don't.Good luck.

Good suggestions, I would bet $ on it though its an injector. The ULSD has played havoc on mine and many others. We were the test rabbits as the new fuel cleaned out the refineries, pipelines, tankers, tanks at the fuel stations, our own tanks, and fuel lines.

According to what I have heard, the only way the mfgs for our fuels had to clean all of the system out was just start producing the fuel and let it run its course. Thus the injectors were at the end of the line before being consumed (burned) and are the most sensitive to being damaged by everything being cleaned out.

My problems began just before, during and right after this went into effect, September, October, and November.
