I am waiting for one too. I am ALSO waiting for a competent Dum b-O-Crat to run as well. There has not been a COMPETENT candidate from EITHER party in my voting life time. Most dead dog bones are more competent that King Putz the 1st is.

This IS the fault of the American People. WE, as a People, do not DEMAND quality candidates. I do have to say, Obama is REALLY the bottom of the barrel. He has dragged that office BELOW what Carter did. THAT was REALLY hard to do!

If everyone turns off all of the above, who is it that you think we should be listening to? You?? The big three?? Each other?? Where shall we get our news, in your less than humble opinion??

Thank you, you have just proven my point.

Your little rant is insulting and unnecessary.

That's your opinion and you are welcomed to it.

Thank you, you have just proven my point.

No, you didn't answer the question. One has to get their news from somewhere and it's up to each individual to sort through the crap and glean for themselves what's important. Now if we're not getting any news, just what is it we should be thinking about, oh wait, maybe I get it after all....we should all be making stuff up like the libs!:D

Again you said each should "listen"....to whom, to what...in you most humble opinion.

To evaluate these candidates we have to go beyond the 60-second sound bytes they're forced into using in these debates, and the responses they have to give to the vapid, banal questions from the network entertainers that moderate. Go the the candidates' websites and get the details of their positions in the issues, and the vision they have for the country. More important, get online and review their record - how they've voted if they're in Congress and what they accomplished as governors of states or CEOs of large corporations. Their records will tell us a lot more about them than their campaign promises. It's just a travesty that in all likelihood most American voters will make their voting decision based on who they think appears to be the "slickest" and has the best line of BS during these debates instead of evaluating their record of accomplishments. Look what we've got in the Oval Office now by electing the guy that was the best at reading a teleprompter.

Ummmmm......Okay?

Actaully what I want is a competent Republican to emerge from the pack that will actually challenge the President in a debate and challenge the American people when they go to the ballot box to cast their votes. The only two that fit that description in my opinion are either Newt Gingrich or Ron Paul. Instead, I have to sit and listen to two grown men argue about who cut their grass, character assination, building a Double Wall on the border, HPV vaccines, name calling, back stabbing and questioning eachother's patriotism. See, you just don't get it, this isn't a friggen' game we're playing here but that is exactly what the Republican party has turned into, a circus, and the clowns continue to come out the little Volkswagan Bug, center ring. Questions need to be answered and these idiots are running around like children on a playground arguing with eachother. I want to know how will we, as America create new jobs; what is their answers to government spending and the deficit; how will we handle immigration, healthcare, social security, education and a tax code that needs to be revised; real estate foreclosures and mass transportation; not to mention our foreign policy and what role the United States will play in the world economy. How will the new governments in the Middle East interact with the U.S.?

Turn off Fox, CNN, Rush, Beck, Hannity, Mathews, Maddow, O'donnell, stop reading polls of 900 people, and listen and think for yourselves for God's sakes!

The GOP has backed themselves into a corner by co-opting the Tea Party and signing stupid petitions that some nobody by the name of Norquist put in front of them. Who the f@#k is this guy and why does he hold power over a Representive of the people?

And guess what? Occupy Wall Street are the Democrats Tea Partiers, like it or not they are p#ssed about the same things and they have taken to the streets, just as the Tea Partiers did. Guess what, if the Democrats co-opt them and do the same things the Republicans did to the Tea Partiers, then the Democrats will have backed themselves into a corner also, and all hell will break loose. Because now we'll the two party's pandering to a small percentage of the extreme elements of their respected parties.

I don't Their doing a fine job of portraying themselves that way all on their own.

Well first you dont have to listen to anyone you can turn the channel if you dont like what they are saying.

Turn off Fox, CNN, Rush, Beck, Hannity, Mathews, Maddow, O'donnell, stop reading polls of 900 people, and listen and think for yourselves for God's sakes! you tell us this yet you start the thread by making this statement based off a edited video that has deleated the most important part of what Robertson was saying

Whoa!!

What disturbs me most about this advice from Mr. Robertson is he's essentially telling the GOP candidates to hide their true beliefs in order to get elected. If your beliefs are so extreme that you have to hide them from sensible people, you might want to re-examine your beliefs.

Robertson: GOP Base Too Extreme - YouTube

You see you tell us to think for ourselves, yet you take this video as if it were true then post it and imply it to mean something that it does not.Now had you followed you own advice to us you would have looked to see if the video you linked was the real deal.(By the way was real easy to find the unedited version of it)But you did not.You trusted your source to be the truth and posted it as such.It funny people on here seem to love to tell other people how their sources are crap yet most of the time refuse to name their own source of information.Or when they do it is then shown to be most unrelable such as the case here.

Now I know you got video from youtube. However this is the same video found on these sites. And this is just three of thousands that did the same thig as you.Found an edited version of his comments then posted it as if it were true in an effort to make the republicans look bad. Then when it is shown to be false you tell us we need to change who WE get OUR INFO FROM????????????????
