Hey Jack, there is something I just don't understand. I never saw Falling Down, what I saw of the trailers it would never interest me. What I don't understand is how a scene in a movie would cause you to own or not own anything?
Layout, Jack quoted me.
Movies are just pretend. Sorry, not trying to be a pain, I just don't understand. I have never seen any movie that made me do something or not do something or own or not own something. Movies are not real and are just entertainment to me. Please enlighten me.
You have to see the movie to appreciate the scene. I'm sure many people have felt some degree of anger and frustration when dealing with brain dead "service industry workers."
How about the scene in
Dr. Strangelove where Col. Bat Gauno (Keenan Wynn) empties his machine gun into a Coke machine to get enough change for the payphone to call the President. Sure looked like he was enjoying himself! And maybe extracting a little revenge?
I would think any true red blooded American who has ever been ripped off by a vending machine would have thought "man I wish that was me with that machine gun" after seeing the Coca-Cola machine spewing its precious bodily fluids onto the floor..
I was in junior high when I saw the movie
Bullit. I had no money and no driver's license, but I wanted a Mustang!
I just would like to understand your thought process. It is forgien to me.
Yeah, sometimes it's foreign to me too! Look, I have not problem with guns. I am not anti gun. I just don't happen to own any guns.
When I lay down my hard earned cash for something, it is usually for something I plan on using. I don't hunt. As for personal protection, I rely on my quick wit and I usually surround myself with people larger than me. I don't need a gun.
I think you are a little too tightly wrapped up in all of this gun control stuff! I believe that is why you replied to my post the way you did. Lighten up a little and cut back on the fluoridated water.
