Southern MA to Texas. Pulled into scales in TN and was asked to pull around back. Truck in great shape and passed level one. Log books good. NE region seemed to have a lot of pull ins and if they didn't stop you......it seemed because they had questionable rigs a plenty, already being inspected in the back lot. Waved through on no less than 5 of them.

On that note....I've got to find a good way to head West out of Southern Mass. 81 looked a lot like mountain climbing to me and I worked South to 84 West. Painful.

Seems it was the Random check and mostly Older vehicles etc, I was waved thru every time as I was in a rented brand new truck....I keep my Logs pretty up to date, adding every fuel stop or 4 hours, I just think on the Troopers coming into a rest area while your asleep and knocking is wrong, If a guys sitting there in his seat or obviously wide awake its one thing, But to roust a driver in the middle of his rest is wrong, public property or not, sure they can tow ya and all that Jive but there not 99 percent of the time, I got a nice Polite note and I gave them a nice polite answer...
