Yes, pure fuel treatment ran through these engines is a no no. If your seals didn't go, the sleeves would have been next. It is usually one or the other with part costs being inexpensive except for a injector replacement. Most of the bill will be labor.

Frisco, just went through this. In my case it was injector sleeves. When it gets bad enough you will see it run out of the over flow. I went to OHIO CAT and had it taken care of. About a year and half ago had fuel odor and it turned out to be front cover gasket.
It is a great time to plan on writting a nice big check though.

Odd thing about mine with the sleeves was, that mother began to run like a scalded dog. It was flat out getting er done. Shame it runs better all screwed up.
