I was informed about an interesting story. A TRUE story. Most likely NOT the ONLY time this as happened at OUR expense.

A younger couple owned a house in Taylor Michigan. They found a repo house that was a MUCH better buy. The husband got a loan with YOUR $8000 tax gift. Bought the repo, THEN, just walked away from their original house.

YOU pay for the first loan on the first house, AND the tax break.

Be sure to thank Obama and Co. for this wonderful idea.

Will you ever learn?

NOPE.

This is nothing new. I know a bunch of people who have done this and it turns my stomach.

Hmmm...wasn't the 8000 suppose to be a "first" time home buyers tax break? How was it received on a 2nd purchase?

YES. The $8,000.00 tax credit is for what is considered a "first time" home buyer. As long as the purchaser hasn't owned a home in 3 years they are considered a first time buyer under this program. If what is described here actually happened, it ain't gonna fly....If you've ever tried to get over on the IRS you know what I mean.

Yea the cash for clunkers cars are not to be resold but to be cut up for scrap - few of them headed right back on the lots to be sold and a number of the exported out of the country.
