Rick Perry indicited

This likely started at levels higher than she.

Don't get me wrong, I don't trust Perry either. He is a politician. That SHOULD be enough to scare anyone. I have YET, I guess it could happen, to meet a career politician that could be trusted.

Layoutshooter, there are many good people in all walks of life, including those who serve in government or hold elective office. It doesn't require much discernment to understand Rick Perry has been an outstanding governor for the state of Texas. Texas is widely acclaimed as an economic success even while much of the nation never recovered from the great slump of 2007-2010.

One of Rick Perry's guiding principles is "to keep government as inconsequential in our lives as possible." In other words, Perry wants to keep government small and non-intrusive in our everyday life. Perry is a former US Air Force pilot and has strong backing from the military community. After his military career was over, Perry worked alongside his father in a small family business. He became successful in real estate. Perry works tirelessly to recruit new businesses to relocate to Texas where he has developed a business friendly environment with low taxes, few impediments to start a new business, tort reform and a strong can-do attitude.

The governor is pro-military, pro-gun, an avid hunter and outdoorsman, very strong on border enforcement, very much a law and order conservative. Perry is a devoted family man who has remained married to one woman his entire adult life. One would be hard pressed to find any hint of scandal in his decades of public service. The citizens of Texas know Perry well and have chosen to elect him as their governor over and over.

What is bothersome to me are faultfinders who bleat refrains such as, "Throw them all out. They're all bums." The use of just a little brainpower will reveal that isn't so. There are good people in all walks of life.

I did not say he was not a good man, I said I have yet to meet a career politician I trust. I also recall saying that it MAY happen some day.

All I know for sure, is that MOST of the problems we have were either created, or made worse, by career politicians, of all flavors.

I have seen them get 10's of thousands of people killed, for little or no reason. I have seen them ignore the Constitution to the point of irrelevance. I just no longer trust any of them.

Being elected over and over tells me NOTHING. Dingell has been elected over and over. Levin has been elected over and over. Conyers has been elected over and over. Lest you forget so has the current speaker of the house, Polosi, Feinstein, and the list is endless. Reelection of an incumbent proves nothing.

This is the same kind of trick the Dems in TX used to get rid of Tom DeLay. The smear-tactic indictment is all that counts, and it doesn't matter if it has any legal merit or whether there is ever any conviction. Once they get an indictment the MSM will do the rest to trash the reputation of the accused, guilty or not.
