They had years of democratic control and we see how that turned out. I doubt it would make it worse if it isn't too far gone already.

It is possible to turn Detroit around. But first, you have to figure out how to put the city on a giant Lazy Susan. That will take some work, which should have the advantage of creating jobs right there.

Detroit is what it is today due to "liberal", "Obama" style, economics and politics, in the proud tradition of FDR. It does not work. If government, at any level, could borrow and promise it's way to prosperity Detroit would be a glowing oasis of opportunity. Instead it is a wasteland that will only be fixed by wiping it off the face of the earth and starting over.

The Republicans cannot fix Detroit, they are as corrupt as the Democrats are.

It was ruined by politicians, politicians will never fix it.
