Obama, and Carter, are both idiots. Obama got those people killed in Benghazi. Carter KNEW the embassy was going to be attacked and, did not defend it, OR, get those people out prior to the attack. Carter, and Obama for that matter, should be in jail for what they did, and did not, do.

At some point, Obama and then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will have to account for themselves with regard to the Benghazi debacle. Stonewalling and fainting spells won't absolve them over the longhaul.

No they won't, Carter never did, and Reagan did nothing to bring to light what really happened. In real terms, Reagan was responsible for the coverup. There ain't a good one in the bunch at the National level, and very few at lower levels.

I had orders for Iran, and would have been there, had my wife not refused the assingment, which wives had the right of refusal. I knew, and worked with, several who accepted that assignment. We, NSA, and CIA, got all of our people out before it hit the fan. Carter knew we had pulled our people out. He was briefed, more than once, on the up coming attack. He did NOTHING. He just sat there and let that attack take place and ruined a LOT of lives, and was responsible for the deaths of several in that mess.

Reagan KNEW the entire story and did NOTHING to bring Carter's role to light.

When we pulled our people out, at night, they were allowed one suitcase, PER FAMILY, they lost EVERYTHING they owned. It took DOD 18 months to get that settled.

We are led to believe Reagan was just a dumb cowboy, B-movie actor. He couldn't possibly have been the mastermind behind an intricate cover up.

If the Americans in Tehran lost everything they owned, what does it say about taking all one's possessions into the Middle East? I am glad you never went there on assignment. Good decision.

At the time, it was a PRIME assignment. VERY good duty. As it turned out, I too am happy. I WAS ticked when my wife stopped it, but, in the end, she was right. It was the norm to take your household goods for overseas assignments. Can you imagine just how hard it would be to staff overseas assignments otherwise?

Reagan did what his handlers told him to do, as did Carter, Obama, Nixon etc.

The greatest threats to the lives and safety of the world's people's are their own governments. There need never be an outside threat, what is in your own yard is enough.
