We started out in a dry box and worked our way to WG/TVal. As ATeam very clearly stated, it was different before. I would not want to come into this market green with the big expense of a reefer S/T. There is a substantial learning curve that you need to overcome as an expediter before you will begin turning that reefer into a gold producer, but your truck payments are not going to stop and wait for you to figure it out. I have also found that in these lean times other drivers are not so willing to give up the hard learned secrets to success so readily. It would be better to find a fleet owner that offers you the flexibility to learn in their truck while you gain experience. The percentage split would be far better than a truck repossession.

I'm chiming in from years past,when I had an ER unit.IN slow times I was busy with temp control loads,when busy,because of weight of tractor trailer,lost many heavy loads.
