The new MCP-200 is, yes.

It is - but it doesn't do electronic logs [at least mine doesn't.]
I think the question of EOBRs is moot, because doesn't every truck made have a 'black box' onboard, regardless of aftermarket technology? Passenger vehicles have for many years, and I find it hard to believe that trucks don't also.

Yes Virginia there is a Santa Claus! But No Virginia, all trucks do not have “black boxes”, that’s just you being paranoid.

I'm not sure if we have those kind to be honest. I do like the fact that what ever system Panther has. I like it and support it. It can tell if the driver is breaking to hard, speeding, so it may be one. I know Panther or FedEx Custom Critical has NEVER asked me or any of our drivers to keep moving. FedEx Custom Critical was one of the best companies I have ever dealt with when it come to safety. Panther is very hard on safety too. Maybe even harder than FedEx when it comes to Logs, Road side inspections. Matt Casey at Panther is a great guy and has helped us many of times.

If you reach for the Gold and grab it, you, too can have the MCP200 installed in your truck (or trucks, depending). It's one of the Precious Metal Perks.

For all of you that don't seem to understand anything about the court shutting down the EOBR'S. Here is the problem with OOIDA and the lawsuit. The rule they fought was for the bad bad carriers not the LS,JB hunts or swifts.

OOIDA now claims that they did it because if they made the worst carriers put them on then the FMCSA would make a rule for the rest of us to have EOBR'S. Guess what they are going to make everyone have them with the next round of rules.

OOIDA, the group against everything.

For all of you that don't seem to understand anything about...how the system works. when published as a PRM, OOIDA filed a comment. once it was ignored and have becomes the law of the land, then, and only then, could OOIDA file a lawsuit. which they where very mach successful of.

. Guess what they are going to make everyone have them with the next round of rules. OOIDA, like many others, my self inclouded ,filed a comment letter, regarding that last PRM. IF and once our concerned will be ignored once more. OOIDA will be there to protect us all.

OOIDA, the group against everything.
can anyone recommend ANY other group ? .
OOIDA is not perfect, by all means, yet they are the best, and ONLY voice we gut, to date.

Just be glad you are not dealing with the old "Highway Master" system. We used to love that thing when we ran for LEA.
