Scott and Helen also worked until recently for Panther. Our condolences to Helen and their family.

I was not aware when I read the linked story that the Scott who was killed was an EO member - my deepest condolences to his family.

OK, that is totally wierd, I didn't make the connection. I just got an email from them a few days ago asking to be switched to the FedEx Forum.

Our condolences to the family, and our prayers are with them.

I also decided to make another Sticky post to keep at top to bring it to everyone's attention.

Thanks for pointing it out. I feel horrible that it didn't 'click'

In the midst of all of our petty differences, we have been reminded of how short life can be. I'm sorry I did not make the connection sooner, but this was posted in the FedEx forum, and in a reply by bubblehead, and it just didn't click.

Scott Massum was apparently indeed the Scott of EO members ScottanHelen, FedEXCC contractors.

The details are unknown at this time, but folks.. be careful out there. Petty differences go out the window in times like this.

That is just horrible. Is there any way to merge the 4 posts together into one? They just posted here on like... Friday. They had just started with FECC. It seems like such a far off possibility somehow, until it happens to someone in our community.
Our thoughts are with you Helen as you deal with this tragedy.

I'm very sorry to hear about the loss of a fellow FAMILY member of the expedite business. We all may brag and boast about our companies, but we all do the same job. Our Prayers go out to Scotts wife and his family. Everyone please remember what Pat G. told me a long time ago, "always keep your doors locked no matter where your at".

I noticed that right away, as I had planned on sending them a note after I noticed they work for the same fleet.

Today, I find out from the linked article we live in the same town and after calling Grandma, found out Rob's related to Scott. We know Scott has a very large family to help Helen through this all.

I'm just floored. Especially since they were visiting family whom lived nearby, close enough to be considered their "personal territory" I feel as this was as if this happened in their own yard! It's bad enough feeling uneasy at some of the places we have to come across just doing our duty, let alone when you are at home!!!

WOW! This is so sad, my thoughts and prayers go out to Helen and her family. If I am correct they just started posting not too long ago? And from reading their post's they seemed like they were really enjoying what they were doing.

I live about 45 min to an hr from here in SC , I have been through this area working before at night it seems that the clubs in SC in little towns especially are very dangerous from what people tell me that have grown up here, I have only lived here for 4 1/2 years
but it just seems to keep escalating, this is only about an hour away from the place where the truck driver was murdered in his truck while sleeping a few weeks ago that I posted about, the one that was fro New York and left behind a wife that was just about to give birth to twins.
