I have the *istDL from Pentax and love it. Only a 6MP camera, but the lens availability is phenomenal. Only gave $240 with a 18-55 kit lens. Great starter digital SLR. So far we have accumulated a 75-250mm, a 50mm prime and various filters and macro attachments. I would recommend this camera to anyone just jumping into SLR cameras. With a firmware update it can handle SDHC cards up to 4 gig (over 1400 pictures) and it runs on regular AA batteries ( we use rechargeable and get about 450 shots with flash ). Below are a few random shots from our old house.

Don't you just feel sorry for the people who will never see what we see? We truly are paid vacationeers. All the pictures are great. Alot of folks may fail to see the beauty of a muddy landscape with a couple of dirty ole trucks sitting there. But it is not just what you see, but rather, how you got there to see it. Make sense? The Peterbilt with the giagantic earth mover on it, in the mud, pulling hard, goes on somewhere everyday in this country. The only way most of us would ever get to see it is through the power of pictures. turtles pictures are awesome, too. While the going was probably hazardous, the background scenarios are beautiful. Lucky folks we are.
