question on pricing our 03' FL

Truck is listed in the classifieds and looks very good in the pics.

It does look good in pics. Two things I don;t like about it. The first is easily changed, no lift gate. Again not an issue.

The 2nd thing is the 2nd axle. That's something I don't need. Between the added expense of tires & the tolls it could be very draining on the wallet. I wonder how long 300 gallons of fuel would last me.

There is NOTHING wrong with a 9 year old truck. If it's paid for & making you money who cares how ugly it is. You know what's pretty, green in my pocket.

I'm not saying there is anything wrong with running a 9 year old truck, in fact I'm saving up to buy a truck a few years older so I can get rid of the EGR valve. I have a work truck and not a show truck, I'm fine with that.

Hi Deville, 300 gallons will last you 3000 miles in this truck. We average 10 mpg. When we push the "fuel" button on the dash, it averages 12-13 mpg.

Yes, FDCC would leave it on the fleet for at least another year. The clutch was replaced at about 500K and has run like a champ ever since.

Thanks for the responses. I listed it on the classifieds and just sold it today. We are sad to see it go, but looking forward to new adventures.

I thought at 10 years it was a year by year decision. No age limit if it keeps performing well.

California ? If DeVille goes to Ca there'll be plane tickets involved.,

Good Luck with your new adventures.

You should continue posting. People are often curious about the ups and downs surrounding downsizing.

I knew that truck was going to sell fast. I was strongly considering making a move on this & started doing some research on the motor & trans etc.... but the timing just isn't right at the moment.
