Question for drivers / Maildrop Businesses

Does any driver know of a mail drop service that would enable a driver to have a physical address and location for letters and business related correspondence to be delivered to for a fee. I know there must be businesses that cater to O T R drivers or expediters / RVers that basically work and live out of their trucks much of the year. Wanted someone who caters to the C D L driver that is dependable and honest . Have you had a good or bad experience with one ? Any replies and or advice appreciated. Thank you and best wishes for 2014. Tom

I had a PO box for awhile, but it doesn't work for package deliveries, [I order things online], and it was always full of 'junk' mail. I now have a trusted family member collect my mail & packages, and that works well.

There are a few that are actually an address instead of "box" # so you can use it for your CDL address. They will also forward your mail via fedex or ups. Folks cruising on boats use them. There is one in Florida that was real popular.

Sorry I don't remeber any names. You might get an answer from the folks that publish the Waterway Guide. Google Dozier or Dozer Marina in Deltaville VA. Call them. They could probably tell you some names. The folks that own the Waterway Guide also own the marina. They are in the same building. Well, they were in 2007 when we was there. I get emails from them once a week about the ICW, so I know they are still in business.

We used a private mail store. They were great. They weren't greedy, or savvy , enough to charge us for packages.
We also order stuff on line and more than once needed a four wheel cart to pu our stuff.
Also, we had 24 hour access to our mailbox. If we emailed them they would leave oversize stuff in the locked lobby for off hours pick up.
Look for a little Ma& Pop operation.

A friend found a place in the Dakotas. You have to spend 24 hours there and you can become a citizen. Register your vehicles there, and they will forward your mail, for a fee, to wherever you need it.

I found the chains, Fedex, Ups Stores, didn't work for this type of thing.

Plus you no longer have state income tax.

Yep, he's retired. The money he saved on registering 3 vehicles there more than pay his costs.
After driving his whole life , he's cruising around the country in an RV. Avoiding the weather.

They have a great website and it appears they offer many affordable services. Looks like one of the best choices and has a physical address. Thanks to you and all that have responded to my inquiry. I had a mailbox at a UPS store for a couple of years and I was very happy. I've learned since, that it all depends on the people that run that particular store. Some are good, some not so much. I was lucky and the people I dealt with were bend over backwards friendly and accommodating.
