If one of the possible side effects of the med(s) he takes is drowsiness, whether he experiences the side effect or not, I would get a release letter from his doctor that say's he's ok to drive on the med(s). As far as the company goes unless they ask specifically on the application about depression/anxiety type meds or conditions I probably wouldn't volunteer the info. If they do ask on the app then provide a copy of the release letter from the doc.
Edit: Oops I see you and him are already running. In that case I'd ask the company if they have a list of banned or must be doc approved meds. If they do not I wouldn't worry about it and just watch to make sure he's ok with the med(s). I would still have him carry a release letter from a doc just incase.
