$30 to $40 a month would be a very reasonable charge as I think most would agree.
Many carriers including my own charge 25 to 35 PER WEEK.

Huge difference between 25-35 per week verses 35-40 a month.
About $100 extra per month per unit.

I pay 245.00 a week now for 7 trucks which is $12,740.00 a year.

If you or anyone thinks that owners are are making money off the FSC, your wrong. I wish we was making money off the FSC like some companies do.

I make money off fsc, but regardless, it's still a matter of how much money you and they make at the end of the day. If the qc cost is such a deal breaker then why work with that particular company? It's the owner's decision to live with.

Nobody ever said it was a deal breaker. That's what the carrier charges and we have to deal with it. I can't fault them for making money off of it. I would do the same thing if I had the money to buy all the QC's and lease them out to owners. Maybe not as much as some do, but I would do it too.

Vinnie, most carriers are charging $35 per week for the QC. Yes, there are some repair issues etc. but then again I have had a unit for almost 6 years total and have had 2 trips to the repair shop in that time. One time was 10 minutes to remove the keyboard and attach a "new" used keyboard. I did half of that job myself as I was tired of waiting on the guy. The other time was to reconnect a loose connection to the dome and was maybe an hour at most. Total maint/repair costs maybe 40 cents per week.

Yes I stand corrected. 35.00 a week is high for the QC's.

I can see if a company bought brand new units with all the new gadgets and charging 35 a week till the initial investment was met and maybe went to a monthly service fee. But to continue to pay 35 a week for 5 year old equipment is tough to swallow IMO.
