Does any one put more air in there tires on a load over 1000? Possibly get better gas mileage? If so how much extra? Or what pounds are best for expediting?

Ft tires are set cold at 70 psi and the rears at 80 psi cold...and that is if...proper inflation is important but once it is set, its the job of the suspension to carry the weight..if the suspension is not up to the job, inflating the tires higher isn't going to do a thing, except wear them faster....

I run 65/80 for a bit better ride.

I pump them up to 80 psi on front and rear. Yeah, when empty I could lower it and have a little smoother ride, but I don't want to mess with the pressures too often.

I run 55 front / 80 rear in the Sprinter, as per manufacturer recommendation. I tried 80 all around, but the front tires wore more quickly, and unevenly. Went back to 55/80.

Over inflating the tires is not going to help with load capacity, load capacity is the job of the suspension...over inflate the tire beyond the factory spec, and all you are going to do is wear them out faster....
