Promaster Diesel

Does anyone here run one? I've read of one that was returned but no others claiming ownership... If I don't get my Transit dilemma handled I have a nearby promaster diesel that has my attention ... Anyone have one if so how is it? Fuel economy ?

There seem to be quite a few complaints about any new diesel engine. A Google search for complaints about the diesel version of the Promaster sends up some red flags.

Before I turned in my 2014 PM diesel I was getting 24.7mpg unloaded and 21 with around 1200 lbs. I have 2015 gas now and get 17.6 to 19.00 average unloaded. Like gas better than diesel a lot more.

Got 53, 000 miles on mine....23.5 mpg...Most of the people that have problems do alot of idleling..I have a 3500 ext...bought it the last day of 2014
