RE: Driving too fast for conditions

Well I do understand in our business it is appropriate to talk about the blame side of the accident on an open forum, but this particular thread was about the well being of the drivers involved not whether they were to blame or not. That should have been started in another thread is all I said.

And yes most rear end accidents are the fault of the person in the rear but since the pickup was halfway between 2 lanes when he slammed on the brakes that is why he was at fault.

That's the thing about threads. They tend to be more like trees and branch off. All of us put ourselves in the Panther driver's place and ask what we would have done?

Do we have enough insurance? Is everything up to DOT legally? Would a infrared or night vision have helped? These are all legitimate concerns for a professional driver.

Asking questions like these don't mean we don't care about the drivers involved. It means we empathise.

Also, just because the professional drivers were not at fault, does not mean lawsuits won't be filed. Lawyers file just to see if the drivers were going over the speed limit, not DOT legal, or maybe the insurance companies will decide it's cheaper to settle than to fight it.

Also, I didn't see anything that looked like Panther bashing to me. I definitely saw ATeam bashing though.

Good grief I never said anyone was Panther bashing. As for Ateam bashing well some just got it coming.
