Phone app

Phone app log book , this seems to be a nice app has all the needed info and seems easy to use , I've habit about a month and am also still doing a paper log till I get totally set in place with it.
Check it out it's called Big Road and its free!
So my question is would you hand your phone over to a. Inspector and show him your entries,you can also email your logs or print them out
I'm printing them after every weeks entries an they look awesome
Just asking for opinions

No you would not hand your phone to an inspector. At the end of every day you would print out a copy and sign it. Only with your sig is it a legal document that can be presented to authorities.

Just downloaded it and am playing with it now. There is a screen to record an electronic sig as well. I will check it out for a bit.

I see now why you are asking about handing your phone to an inspector as the app tells you to do that so they can browse the last two weeks. Not sure how comfortable I would be about doing that. I think I would still go the extra step and print out a full size copy for them to peruse.

An app that says you should hand your phone to an inspector so he can peruse the last 2 weeks is an app created by someone who, first doesn't know the law [we are required to keep the past 7 days on hand] and second, doesn't understand that some inspectors might take advantage of the opportunity to look at more than your logs.
I'd stick to printing a copy.
Well, I would if I didn't have to drag the printer out from under the bunk, lol.

You must have the previous 8 days logs printed off or you'll get a ticket. I'm talking about laptop or smart phone logging programs here. EOBR trucks get a pass on this. Our company has been dinged on this a couple of times. A ticket that should never happen. There are guys who will say, "LEO's have always let me print off previous days when I didn't have them already" to which I will say they must have been in a good mood and you were lucky.
