First off, it was hard in the mid-'70's too. Second, the harder times are the MORE opportunity exists for those with the imagination to find SOLUTIONS to today's problems rather than protest. I am not concerned how they are going to pay their college loans. They should not have borrowed what they could not pay back.

Protesting won't solve their problems. Finding their OWN solution WILL. The American dream is NOT dead, not yet. It WILL die if people keep "protesting" instead of "doing something about it"

The ONLY EFFECTIVE protest will take place in November 2012. Beyond that, Get off your butts and solve the problem.

NYC arrest records: Many Occupy Wall Street protesters live in luxury - Yahoo! News

Why is it they have such a hard time with the homeless people there? One can get on any of the many web pages that are supporting the OWS and its the same thing whinning about the homeless some of those hurt most with right now.I guess they make for a great talking point/photo-op.They just cant sleep in the same park or eat our food.

With so many in their ranks that are there for the RIGHT CAUSE and can not be bought there have to be some that could run for congress that would not be tempted by the money right?Or is it none of them really trust each other to really do the right thing. They will not get the change they seek doing what they are doing.Everyone gets paid a living wage,Yep im all for that.I dont think though that the guy bagging food should earn 20-30 dollars an hour. That pound of ham just went from 5.99 to 18.50 a pound.

The fact that they welcome the unions with open arms says they dont know who is even really within their own ranks or what they really stand for..The unions will always be buying the theives off in order to push their agenda.

I want what I want and I want someone else to pay for it.

No, but protesting tells others of the problem. But when the message is skewed by those who don't want change, there's not much the protesters can do.

You keep saying voting is THE answer. How can it be the answer when more than half of the voters don't have a clue? That's us, the small minority, voting against the huge majority of losers who couldn't understand their way out of a wet paper sack. Things won't change, until the direness of the circumstances outweigh the diversions of the circuses. By then, it's too late.

I've been voting for many years, and it's not helping - why would the next election be any different?
