So it seems that surgery is needed to do those numbers.;)

Yes, in order to get to the good numbers you have to have the surgery. But the kind is classified. When you need the surgery then you will know what kind.

I just wish I could give you a full year of hard running numbers. Maybe next year,

I keep hearing about gross pay, but nothing about net pay. not every one with the same gross has the same net. that is why some don`t have to work as hard as others.:)

Gross and net have nothing to do with each other. Some people have a higher tax bracket and some have more deductions also if they own their truck outright. So if someone tells you their gross you should be able to look at your own situation and determine how much you could net with the same numbers. One person could gross $100,000 and net as much as someone who grossed $200,000. It all depends on expenses but we are just saying how much we grossed, how much I netted is my business. Net and Gross are like comparing apples to oranges.

Thats right, if you want to drive a $200,000 show truck you are going to have to work harder but thats a lifestyle choice you make. Just like in real life, you can work two jobs to make the mortgage payments on yer home in the burbs or maybe take it a lil easier and live in yer mobil home down at the park.

Anyway, its cool to see others that are willin to share their financial information. Real hard numbers are always more helpfull then just hearing I am doin well or I am goin broke. Everone has their own unique situation.

Mine is that after runnin 7 years with Roberts/Fedex as a team I became a solo operator in Jan of 2006. I am currently runnin a 1999 KW T-300 which I bought used in 2004. It has a reefer and lift gate but I am "NOT" White Glove. That is just a personal decision that I made to keep the stress level down a bit in my life. I still do the occasional White Gloves when no other White Glove truck in the area and use my reefer often for Air Expedite Temp assure

I just worked the west coast last year and try to stay within a 200 mile radius of the Bay Area, due to havin a 91 yr old mother that needs my attention at home. That does push my d/h up due to going back home after many loads.

So, here are my numbers last year 219 runs, 190 surface, 29 White Glove, 85.88% acceptance, 39,679 loaded miles, average per loaded mile $2.52 and gross pay $99,232.57
