Parking and Showers

i know we've covered this subject before, but our little accident makes me think we might want to get into this again, so here goes.

Parking:

We generally park in little strip malls with ethnic restaurants, grocery stores and Dollar stores -- nice and cosy, relatively safe (the one's with 24 hour grocery stores), and we can get out, walk around, eat good, inexpensive food, and watch the real world go by. i've developed a real addiction to Denny's Mill-something Coffees -- the regular and the decaf are fabulous! -- so they're another favorite parking place. Also, most of these places provide hot water in their restrooms, which is more than can be said of some rest areas, service plazas, and gas stations.

What are some of your favorite places to park, and why?

Showers:

We accidently stumbled upon a, what i will call, "Free Shower Scam." Sitting at the FL in Fontana in CA, waiting to get new batteries installed, we watched several people going into the restrooms with shower bags. Kev wanted to shower, and while he was otherwise occupied, my devious mind began to spin with the possibilities of Free Showers EVERYWHERE we go! And judging by the number of other makes of trucks at the service dept., we wouldn't be limited to just FL places!

(Oops, gotta run for now -- incoming call which just MIGHT be a load offer!)

Godspeed to all of you out there on the highways and byways!
