Same here at FCC if you price shop the TA's using the 800 number you will be amazed at the price differences. You though also need to be aware of the fuel taxes in each state.

No matter what you get the discount that the TA you are stopping at offers.

We have a little more work though to find out exactly what our discount is. You can call in after you fuel and get your balance or you can go online and get all the details of your transactions. I like lots of detail so getting online works best for us.

The discount is applied for Panther drivers by using the Comdata card and for Fedex drivers by using the Tchek card of course. Also, as mentioned, fuel taxes are the final determinant of the best cost for those subject to IFTA. Otherwise you are only looking at price.

Think of it this way. The two lowest price places are 8 cents a gallon apart. If you buy at the lowest price place you save 8 cents a gallon compared to the number two place BUT if you buy at the place 8 cents a gallon higher at the pump you get 15.67 cents per gallon extra credit to your fuel tax account. That means by paying 8 cents more at the pump you are coming out 7.67 cents better off in your pocket. That can happen with fueling in FL vs. in GA.

Every situation is different so you have to do your research. The main point is that between taking advantage of available fuel discounts and smart purchasing for maximum fuel tax benefits there are potentially thousands of dollars per year available to you.
