Is it worth it? Ain’t expedited or been here in decades. Had a cargo van with panther back in the early 2000’s & ran good. Received top 10% of the fleet award but then the bottom fell out. Do they have any freight in & out of Mississippi and Alabama these days? I’ve heard Nissan was about to close down. Should I stay with general freight ? I get home weekly & clear 1200-1300

Hello my wife and I are also a class at team a panther. We been doing for 7 months now. And we live in north Mississippi. So yes they do have some fright down that way. But when we do go home we end up empty moving to the ATL bored. Because the fright is slow on the Memphis and Jackson bored. We run some auto parts but panther not big in auto parts side. We do run some but not a lot. So that plant shutting down don’t mean anything. And this side of the industry is not a go home every weekend kinda trucking. Most owners and company want 6-8weeks out. And most of the companies are 10-99 so what you take home is all up to you and how hard you wanna hustle. And most teams out here are same household teams. You have a class a and should be clearing over 3 grand a.week. Stay away from the 1099 bs. Baby class b teamsters are clearing 120k a year with full free benefits and home every night. Don't be a sucker.
