Pain and Anarchy in Haiti

I don't think the environmentalists would allow for the electric cable to go through that much water. The electrical current leakage would electrocute a few fishes and might be a hazard to some reef somewhere because the current causes an electromagnetic field. It could cause ships to become lost and create a second bermuda triangle of mysterious ship losses.
It would take 6 years environmental study (funded by the US Govt), ground stability studies for windmill and solar panel installation (again funded by US) and of course the prerequisite study of the effect on locals of that amount of power and the electro magnetic fields causing cheap time pieces to not work.

However a great idea, I'm for it!

No environmental studies needed!! Not if ALGORE is in on it!! It is a given that he is kind to the planet and nothing he or any of his goobers do can hurt it!

No, don't take over Haiti, we already have way too many on welfare. No, don't let Cuba have it either. Let General Electric buy it. Then ALGORE and Co can put up 2 or 3 zillion of their stupid windmills and a half a zillion solar collector hickeys and then Haiti could export electricity to Cuba. Cuba needs it because their socialist utopia can't make enough to support themselves!!

Haiti would have an industry, Cuba could finally have enough electricity so that they can bake the one cake a year that they are allowed and everyone would be hunkydorey!!

Man, am I good!!

yea, and the hurricanes could come thru and blow away the windmills and we could make some more of them and have jobs for all concerned,,,great idea.........really

Apparently, the tedium is the message. This evening I am noticing the superstars of CNN and Fox News seem to grow weary of reporting from Haiti. Some have already earned their "been there-done that" merit badges from Haiti and are winging it back to the States. No doubt, many would rather be reporting the latest happenings about the special election coming in Massachusetts on Tuesday for Ted Kennedy's old Senate seat.

(apologies to Marshall McLuhan)

Nov is not that far off, it is time to start putting as many as we can out of work.

For things to change you have to change. You cannot continue to do the same thing and expect a different outcome.

We, and the world, have been dumping untold amounts of money into Haiti. It has not worked. Will we continue to condemn those people to this endless foolishness or come up with a different plan?
