I'm putting together my "supplies" list and thought I'd post here to see what others carry and perhaps help someone be better prepared for a roadside emergency. I don't have this on paper yet so I'll have to forget at least one good item but that's ok because everyone else will post ideas and the list will be completed as we go.
Filters, one of each oil and fuel filter needed for a pm just in case the facility you stop at doesn't have them.
Belts, one of each.
Bulbs, one low beam headlight, one each for brake/tail/backup/clearance/turn.
Coolant, at least one gallon of the appropriate blend.
Lubricant, at least one gallon of oil as well as any supplements you may use such as Lucas etc.
Rescue tape to be used on hoses just in case.
Tools, whatever you are comfortable and capable using. That will vary greatly from individual to individual. For me it's a cell phone and roadside assistance phone number although I can change the headlight and add oil if need be.
If you have an APU add filters, belts etc. for it as well.
One could add things like turn signal flasher, starter solenoid, etc. but that's getting a little outside the realm of quick roadside repair as well as much less likely to be needed.
OK guys, start critiquing and adding to the list.
