John,
just a couple things, well may a few;
1 - the fleet vision page, you should put the link in a different form - Fleet Vision instead of www7.fleetvision.com
2 - the fonts sizes should be consistent on every page, like the o/o page uses large fonts while the company driver page has small ones. This is also something that you need to think about for the customer, little fonts bad.
3 - The news page uses a custom style sheet that overrides the link colors, as it is a good looking thing, it is also a PIA because the visitor needs to know where they've been. Changing the 'clicked on' color to something else is a good thing.
4 - reds, maroons are not the greatest colors to use on websites, there is a bit of play on psychology here - just a suggestion to incorporate more blues than reds. Blues promote trust, reds the opposite.
5 - one thing I can't seem to stand is a contact page with no other way to communicate - EMAIL link is important to many and a lot of people do not want to give a lot of info out just to ask a question. Any good website designer will know how to make that happen without spam filling your email inbox - if not PM me.
6 - Sometimes it is the little things, your address appears twice on the page, maybe once is needed? Also think about a footer without the log in links. IF internal people need to sign in, give them a link to sign in from, not on the page. If others need a way to sign in, give them a link somewhere on the page.
7- epay manager, what's that and why isn't there a link to it or should there be?
Overall it looks good, wonder what CMS program you are using and how well does it lend itself to more dynamic presentation for the visitor.
1. Should be changed by lunch to a user name and login set up, that was just a temp fix.
2. You are right. Fixed this.
3. I agree, have to find out how to do that or have that done.
4 You don't trust me???? Kidding, good suggestion.
5. I agree. This page is in the process of being modified and added to have more options.
6. I agree we could probably lose one of the addresses. This sign on links are barely noticeable but it gives staff internal and external quick access.
7. Epay manager is a carrier tool that goes live in 2 weeks. It allows for our partner carriers to electronically image paperwork and approve charges online to allow them to save money and submit billing faster to us.
Thanks for all the feedback! More eyes are always a good thing.
