Hi, just wondered where trucks hang out when in the orlando express center. We are checked in right now and we are about 25 miles out at kissimmee. We are hopul to get out of here today, i guess we will wait and see.

I stay in Ft Pierce, Canavral or somewhere in between Tampa and orlando to cover more than one.

I would caution you that unless you like to sit and enjoy the weather, move somewhere outside of florida - as optimistic as I am the freight is too slow for me.

OMG! I think that was my truck in the picture!! I'll never forget that place, lol. I'd delivered in the morning, & asked another Swift driver, a nice old guy, if he knew where I could get a shower, cause I hadn't seen any truck stops. He said he did, & was goin there to eat, if I wanted to follow. I did, he got on a tollroad, & then pulled over 3 minutes later. He walked back to my truck, & said it had been a few years since he'd been there - he got on the wrong turnpike. I said ok, just keep leading, & I'll keep behind you. When I stopped at the exit booth, there were two ladies inside, who said the driver ahead had paid my toll. One added "Now I see why!" I took great pleasure in telling her that he paid because he went the wrong way...
He did get there shortly after, & I took a shower (I remember the showers were in a separate trailer) & got the heck out of there. He was still eating when I left...
(Sigh) Just another day in a trucker's life! :p

I have never had a problem getting out of florida. my question was meant to ask what particular locations are there to sit and wait for an offer.

For Future Reference... You can park a rig next to the Cracker Barrel by Kirkman Road across from the entrance to Universal Studio's.
There's also the FL Visitor's Center across from the Radisson twin towers hotel there. I believe there's a AmeriSuites there and a Ruby Tuesdays there. Go north on Kirkman Rd. towards Apopka area and Rt. 50 and you'll go over the Turnpike, on the right there's a Boston Market for good suppers, and a shopping plaza with a supermarket across the street from it. There's parking to be had before you get to that light by the Boston Market on the right side on Kirkman Road.

You're centrally located, near restrooms, and not committed to staying at that "Truckers Paradise" that's known for recreational reptiles and drug related issues happening in the lot.
Truckers Paradise is close to alot, however, there's the Florida Mall nearby, just down the street from Truckers Paradise- within 3 miles. that you may or maynot be able to park at as well - depending on how strict the Rent-A-Cop wants to be that day. You pay for parking there at that truckstop - it's 8.50 a nite. The places I mentioned are free. Trick of the Trade: You can use the restrooms in the lobby of any hotels nearby.
