Well we are golden. We didnt have to take the new QC training cause we arent getting those yet and from what I heard thats good as apparently still major bugs. However anyone considering buying that Rand gps should wait...FedEx is integrating GPS and truck routing into the QC, along with electronic logging.

Z (my co-driver) and I are in a Black 07 Columbia. D7347 We tried the red KW T660 for half a day. Never even moved into it . HATED IT!!!! So ES said we could have the black FL...and we are feeling right at home. Have had a number of issues crop up this week, several were truck issues. ES and FECC have been amazing in helping us get going.

Loving a Freightliner over a KW? Did you give up a studio sleeper for 70" sleeper.
Color me confused. What was wrong with the KW?

We had some friends that were in one of the red KW's and they had very little storage and the room between the sites was horrible. The Freightliners have lots of room between the seats, and the OEM sleepers have lots of storage and a better layout. The red KW we were in was very narrow between the seats and had no storage so I can see why they wanted to get into a difference truck.

My confusion stems from the fact that both KWs that my Wife and I drove for ES were 86" Studio Sleepers. The largest OEM sleeper on the market. The narrow cab was purposefully engineered to give the driving team a smoother ride. In the T660 the seat armrests swing back to provide more room to pass through.I believe the quality of the KW over the FL is well known.

One extra benefit of the narrow cab design is that it provides a good insentive to keep your weight in check. I can only imagine that someone over 250 lbs would have a tough time squeezing through. ;)
