If you're planning to bring a side dish, dessert, or beverage to the driver's cook out that traditionally ends the Expo, please let the organizers know what to expect in this thread. It might be cool to have all desserts, but we're thinking it really ought to be a little more balanced, sigh.
I will bring a 5 [or 6 or whatever] cold bean salad with vinaigrette dressing, and a sheet cake with filling from Costco.
What are you planning?

Linda told me if I didn't bring buttermilk pie my name would be Mud so you better believe if I am coming from the right direction to get pie that's what I'll bring. I don't know what I'll do if I'm on the wrong side of the country.

You are going to bring "heart attack in a pie pan" even if you are on the wrong side of the country.

I think we are gonna bring bbq'd cabbage. It is head cabbage with the core out then stuffed with garlic and butter and cooked for a long time. Low and slow. Would everyone eat their veggies ? Maybe something else but we havent thought of it yet. Anybody bringing any other kind of meat ?

Ok, for the "organizers", I can do the Chili Mac in a Roaster if there is enough electrical power, or in chaffers and use water and canned heat to heat it thru...any advise as to which will be the easiest for those working the cooking and setup?

Hopefully, some APU folks will step up.

You have a generator chef, we'll just have to get you parked close to the chow. That might be a good thing.

If i am not mistaken, my truck will be with yours from what I heard Tom...:)..but push come to shove i can haul generator out there when the cooks setup ..A roster full of "Mac", thats been cold 36-48 hrs will be as solid as a brick and will need to warm back up for hrs....

Got me there, wasn't thinking of that. Shoot, by the time we get out the food may be gone. LOLhope not, Waitin to try this chili mac. Could always plug it in inside somewhere and use it to draw people into the booth. I hope they have electric that i can use to plug the fridge into.
It will all work out.
